Welcome Back, Katie!

Remember our announcement earlier this year, welcoming Katie’s daughter Sally into the world? Time has flown fast since then. Katie is now back in action at Hill Investment Group … although we don’t doubt that a part of her heart remains at home.

“It is a bittersweet time for me to leave our beautiful daughter during the day,” says Katie. “But having a job I really love makes it sting a little less. I missed chatting with my coworkers and our clients during my three-month leave.”

Are you a working mother as well, or do you know someone who is? Here are some additional words of wisdom from Katie:

“My mother worked as a full-time nurse when I was young, and I believe that instilled a work ethic in me that I might not otherwise have. Being a working mom is not going to be easy, but I think it will make me a better momma to Sally!”

Welcome, Sally Ackerman

We kick off our 2017 communications with you by celebrating a new addition! We are thrilled to join Katie and her husband Doug in welcoming their newborn Sally Marie Ackerman to the world. Sally arrived at 5:52 pm on January 10 (just in time for supper), weighing in with all of her 8 pounds, 3 ounces. All reports suggest that Sally is healthy, a fantastic eater, and a perfect sleeper during the day. Nighttime sleeping is something she’s working on in the first quarter of 2017.

Wedding Bells

Ackerman WeddingAs you may know, Katie Trout joined our firm in February and we’ve been the better for it. Don’t be surprised in email or phone conversations when you notice her new name – Katie Ackerman. Katie just returned from her spectacular October 13th wedding at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. We’re thrilled to welcome Katie home and to have her back in the office. She is pictured on the left with her husband, Doug Ackerman, and the rest of our team snapped the picture on the right at the St. Louis reception this past weekend. Congrats Katie!
