Abby is the jack-of-all-trades in client service, supporting the team in the delivery of exemplary service. Her attention to detail, conscientious working style, and generous hospitality make her the ideal addition. Abby graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Real Estate. She began her career at one of the country’s largest brokerage firms, where she quickly had an unsettling experience. Instead of prioritizing the client’s well being, the focus at the wirehouse firm was meeting sales hurdles, pushing product, and finding the next best manager who was “destined” to beat the market. Abby became eager to find a firm that emphasized exemplary client service and aligned with her core values. She was fortunate enough to cross paths with a long-time family friend who introduced her to Hill Investment Group. One read of Odds On, and Abby knew she found what she was looking for in her career.

Every day at 11 is you can find me on the phone with my dad. My mom gets her time on my drive home. Yes, I’m that person who calls her parents every day. They are my closest friends, and my number-one motivators, and being able to visit with them every day, even if just for a quick hello, is number one on my list.
My family is spread out—my mom is in St. Louis, and dad is in Newport Beach, CA. When I’m at the beach with dad, we fill our days playing Gin Rummy, riding bikes, taste-testing all the chicken wings in town, and soaking up the beautiful weather.
Mom and I are each other’s favorite homebodies, cooking dinner (no leftovers for her!) and binge-watching This Is Us, Friends, and The Handmaid’s Tale.
Poor dad is outnumbered 4-1 (5-1 if you include our dog). My sisters and I share almost everything, including our closets. I am the oldest (and wisest). Molly is the tough middle sister, fitness fanatic, and aspiring entrepreneur. My youngest sister is the star field hockey player. You can frequently catch me at her games, her #1 fan, cheering her team on two-state victories.
Never in my life did I imagine I would be free-falling 12,000 feet above a land thousands of miles from home. This was the most significant step I had ever taken out of my comfort zone. Skydiving in New Zealand was all it took: I was hooked on traveling. From a French bakery in Assisi’s hillsides to a 15th century Swedish Castle to studying in Australia and New Zealand, I have been lucky to visit some incredible places.
The most memorable experience of my adventures was skydiving. Queenstown, NZ, is the birthplace of tandem skydiving, known as the “Adventure Capital of the World,” and the world’s most beautiful place. Here, I jumped out of a perfectly safe airplane at 12,000 feet, and free fell over the famous Remarkables mountain range and Wakatipu basin. It was the most frightening and exhilarating experience of my life, and I would highly recommend it.
The opportunities I have had to see the world have been invaluable blessings. Travel helps me understand other cultures and appreciate these differences while coming to understand myself better. Immersing myself in others’ cultures brings me a sense of fulfillment that I plan to continue to chase throughout my lifetime.

I ran for student council every year of high school, and election after election, I was runner-up—my friends and family like to give me trouble for this, even today. Although I never won, I looked at each year as a fresh start and an opportunity to win. This quote reminds me of the importance of the hope and perseverance required to “take the long view” and remain disciplined in achieving your goals.

When my family was going through a difficult time, my sister gave each of us an engraved bracelet with this on it. It is a simple phrase filled with so much wisdom. My interpretation: good or bad, happy or sad, this too shall pass, every moment is fleeting, so enjoy the good times and have “soft knees” through the bad.
