Griffin is the kind of teammate who makes the whole firm better. As an analyst, he brings a “utility player” mindset—jumping in wherever he’s needed, whether that means supporting service, trading, or operations—so that clients experience seamless care from the entire team. Always looking for ways to make life easier for others, Griffin’s curiosity, discipline, and willingness to dive into the details ensure that nothing slips through the cracks.

Family Matters

I couldn’t have asked for a better family to grow up in. I have two sets of parents who have each shaped me in unique and meaningful ways. I got to grow up watching my dad balance a family, a very time-consuming career, as well as his own personal goals. Watching him helped lay a framework for what hard work and discipline can accomplish.

My mother is the reason I love client service. I got to see her plan massive school events. She spent hours organizing and planning, doing all the work that no one else would see. She did it because she found fulfillment in knowing the guests had a great time.

I also have an older sister, Vale, who set a high bar for what it means to be an intelligent, hardworking person (including reading all seven Harry Potter books in just three weeks when she was nine). Growing up, I tried to follow in her footsteps—and not fall too far behind the standard she set for the Lewis kids.

Most Memorable Trip

Early one summer during college, before my internship began, with about an hour’s notice, two friends pulled me into a spontaneous road trip through Northern California and Oregon. We were comically underprepared (shorts and T-shirts in the snow), but that only made the adventure more memorable. Highlights included standing at the rim of Crater Lake, swimming in waterfalls in Oregon, and—by pure luck—catching the Aurora Borealis in the Redwood Forest. That trip reminded me why I value spontaneity and seeking out the uncomfortable. Often, the best experiences aren’t the ones you plan—they’re the ones that surprise you.

Favorite Workout Routine

Anything outdoors. When COVID stopped group activities and my chances of rowing collegiately, I turned to solo endurance sports as an alternative. Running and cycling quickly became my favorite ways to train. My favorite workout revolves around long sessions outside. My go-to route is running laps around Lady Bird Lake in Austin. To inspire and motivate me, I always try to have one or two marathons or Ironman triathlons a year to look forward to. Over time, I’ve realized that these periods of long movement feel less like “exercise” and more like a chance to enjoy the world around me. It’s a long view approach!

Entrepreneurial Spirit

When I started college, I wanted more than just an hourly job, so I joined a company that sold merchandise to student organizations. This meant building a client base from scratch. As a freshman on a campus where I didn’t know a soul, I knocked on doors, sent too many cold texts, but slowly built skills and trust. Over time, that persistence turned into a successful business—and an early lesson in resilience and relationship-building.

First Job Lessons

My first job came during the summer when COVID began to ease. I worked as a “Specialist” for a vacation rental company, which basically meant I was the go-to fixer of all things unexpected. At 15, I found myself racing around town repairing damages, solving problems, and making sure guests had a great experience. I learned that the best customer experiences often come from the hard work happening behind the scenes.
