As an Analyst at Hill Investment Group, Ainsley Moses helps turn thoughtful financial planning into a great client experience. From preparing financial plans and client meetings to supporting the day-to-day needs of the families we serve, Ainsley works closely with the Hill team to make sure clients feel informed, cared for, and confident in the details.
Ainsley’s path to Hill started with a simple introduction through a trusted partner. While interning at Cheree Berry Paper the summer after graduation, Cheree connected her friend Matt Hall with Ainsley, and the two met for coffee at Kaldi’s. As Ainsley was leaving, Matt handed her a copy of Odds On, and she was captivated by every word. She never would have guessed that one coffee would lead her to where she is today.
A St. Louis native, Ainsley graduated from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business with a degree in Finance along with certificates in Personal & Organizational Leadership and Entrepreneurship. Her most meaningful experience at UGA was her time in the Institute for Leadership Advancement, where she learned what it means to lead with her values, especially service to others, excellence, and stewardship.
Ainsley never imagined her first job out of college would be at a firm that holds the same values she spent years learning to lead with. At Hill, she sees those values come to life every day in a team that puts clients first, embraces a growth mindset, and takes the long view.
My family means everything to me. My parents taught me the value of hard work and determination, and I am so grateful for everything they have given me. My younger brother is a student at Texas Christian University, so I love any excuse to visit him in Fort Worth and get a taste of college life again. We love to travel together as a family, and some of my favorite memories come from our trips. After four years at UGA, I’m so happy to be back home in St. Louis with them.
This past summer, I celebrated graduation with a long trip to Europe, starting with my best friend and finishing with my mom. We traveled through Italy, Greece, France, Switzerland, Denmark, and Spain with just one suitcase, which was no easy feat. I’ve always been the planner for our family vacations, and it was so rewarding to see such a big trip come together so smoothly. As a self-proclaimed foodie, restaurant reservations were always my first priority. I believe you can learn a lot about a city from its best meal!
I’ve been an entrepreneur for as long as I can remember. It started with lemonade and bake sale stands, and before long I was the kid selling duct tape binders and vinyl monograms to anyone who would buy them. I’ve never been great at sitting still, but I’ve come to realize that’s just the entrepreneur in me. Since then, I’ve helped grow startups during college, spearheaded membership growth in various organizations, and started a travel business. Each of those experiences taught me that the best ideas come to life through hard work, creativity, and genuine relationships.
My mom first brought me to Pure Barre, and As a lifelong competitive dancer, my Mom brought me to a Pure Barre class, and it immediately felt like home. Almost 1,000 classes later, I’ve spent more than three years as a certified instructor, teaching three different formats. What keeps me coming back is simple: those 50 minutes for myself help me show up as my best for everyone around me.
“It’s cool to care.” –Miss Gretchen, my childhood dance teacher
I heard this in the dance studio growing up, but I didn’t realize how much it would shape me until I was older. Pretending not to care or giving up when things get difficult is the easy way out. Being relentless in the pursuit of what you want is much harder. I’ve always been someone who cares deeply about my work, my goals, and especially the people in my life, and Miss Gretchen taught me that’s something to be proud of. I strive for excellence every day, both in what I do and in how I show up for others.
