Please join us in welcoming Jacob Brydels, our newest Associate Advisor. Jacob started with us in early May and brought a unique skill set that will complement our team well.

Jacob Brydels finds his passion in helping others plan for their future. He brings six years of client service experience at Moneta and St Louis Trust & Family Office. Jacob graduated from Missouri State University, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He started his career in accounting and non-profit roles before identifying his true passion, personal financial planning. Jacob’s attention to detail and skill in listening to client’s needs make him a great addition to the HIG team.

Last month, a few team members enjoyed dinner and a toast in honor of our Founder, Rick Hill, alongside his wife Lynn, to celebrate Rick’s milestone 80th birthday.

Friends and clients love knowing that Rick is part of the team. If you want to know why at 80, Rick is still helping people take the long view, Rick says, “I continue to be stimulated with my work duties and communicating with clients and prospects. I love the opportunity to continue interacting with the staff, whom I respect and enjoy being around. I find these relationships rewarding and energizing.”

We have a long history of outstanding summer interns and this year’s selection is no exception. Samridhi Sureka joined us in June from Washington Univerisity’s MBA program. What’s Samridhi working on while at HIG?  She’s been in a rotational internship program with us where she gets to explore all the elements of the business, from investments and finance to compliance, marketing, and other departments.

Originally from Nagpur, India, where Samridhi spends time helping her family run a sustainable packaging solutions business, she has a talent for supporting large-scale operations and logistics with interest in financial management.

On a personal note, Samridhi loves to cook, and her mission while in St. Louis is to find the best farmers’ market where she can source exceptional ingredients and spices (the hotter, the better) that remind her of home. 

We are lucky to have her with us this summer and have enjoyed adding a fresh perspective to HIG.
