Walter “Buddy” Reisinger may just be one of the most interesting people at Hill Investment Group. His family has deep roots in the iconic beer company Anheuser-Busch. Buddy worked at the brewery after graduating from Princeton, and then UCLA for his MBA. His late mother created the famous Vivienne salad dressing which was bottled and sold coast to coast. Buddy had a beloved pet potbelly pig, his go-to karaoke song is “Come Sail Away,” and he secretly wishes he could be a DJ on a classic rock radio station. All that and he’s crazy smart with a kind heart. You’ll see a bit of that here in his video where he talks about what got him to become a fiduciary advisor and what keeps him here serving you. For as long as we’ve known Buddy Reisinger, we’ve observed him juggling an eclectic mix of questions from clients, friends, and family. The queries range from “any idea who the best plantar fasciitis doctor is in Saint Louis?” to “I’m heading to Santa Barbara and want to impress my in-laws – where do we get dinner?” to “Which organization will benefit most from my charitable gift?” to “Which airport should I fly into when I go to Cape Cod?”.

It seems evident to us, but we want you to know that we’ve crowned Buddy the official HIG Concierge (his new title). As a world traveler, adventure seeker, family man, and lifelong learner, Buddy always has the answer, and if he doesn’t – he sure as heck knows someone who does!

This month we celebrated the work anniversaries of Buddy Reisinger (12 years) and Katie Ackerman (6 years).

Buddy’s decade-plus with HIG makes him a truly committed member of the team. He’s known not just for his tenure at the firm but also for his fun-loving personality and 24/7 access.  The “Bud Man” is an original, and we love him.

Katie is the first voice our clients hear on the phone and is as thoughtful in serving our team as she is with our clients. Her sense of humor, hospitality, and witty teasing are some of the essential ingredients that make HIG feel like “Cheers.”
