Hill Investment Group Is Hiring More Talent

As we have grown our firm, we haven’t publicized openings. In hindsight, it seems silly not to inform our network. From now on, we’ll let you know when we’re looking to add to our team, and we’re hoping you’ll help us spread the word.

We are currently searching to fill two select positions: an Associate Advisor and a Client Service Associate.

The Associate Advisor position is based in St. Louis. The primary role is to support the leaders of Hillfolio®, and Hill Investment Group in serving clients. This includes assisting with planning, client account maintenance, and preparation for client review meetings. The ideal candidate will eventually participate in client meetings.

The Client Service Associate position is based in St. Louis. The primary role is to provide legendary service in client account setup, maintenance, and billing. The ideal candidate will be the in-house expert in preparing for client meetings, trading, and working with providers.

Who Should Apply?

Curious learners with strong interpersonal skills who take ownership, prioritize personal and professional growth, and have a strong desire to make a positive impact on our clients’ lives.

If you think you know of a candidate we should consider, please have them learn more by emailing us here.

Welcome, Abby Crimmins

Abby Crimmins, Client Service Associate

At Hill Investment Group, we are always looking to add quality individuals to the team. We get extra enjoyment when we are able to “rescue” them from what we refer to as the dark side of the financial industry … as Matt Hall describes here.

In that context, please join me in welcoming Abby Crimmins as our new client service associate. Abby comes to us from a wirehouse. In her own words, “After an unsettling start to my career, I was eager to find a financial firm that emphasized exemplary client service and aligned with my core values.”

Fortunately, a family friend introduced Abby to HIG, and to Matt’s book, Odds On.  After reading the book, she knew where she was meant to be. As good timing would have it, we too were seeking an individual with Abby’s talents to build on our client service team.

Augmenting her wirehouse experience (where she was selected to participate in an executive leadership development program), Abby is a University of Missouri-Columbia “Mizzou” graduate, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance and real estate. Her attention to detail, process-oriented mind, and can-do enthusiasm will also be valuable assets to us and our clients, as she covers tasks that are perhaps best described as “a little bit of everything.”

During her Mizzou days, Abby traveled to New Zealand and Australia as part of an international business program. She also used the opportunity to try sky diving! When she’s not jumping out of airplanes (just the once … so far), she enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants, attending concerts and working up a good sweat at the fitness center.

Abby also loves meeting new people and can’t wait to be helpful to you.

New Addition to HIG Client Service: Jared Machen

Hill Investment Group Client Service Associate Jared Machen

What leads to exemplary client care? It begins with planning: Defining goals, building processes, documenting procedures. Then there’s the action: Owning all the nitty-gritty details that are every bit as essential as the more showy services. For that, we’re delighted to announce that our team has grown again, with the addition of Jared Machen as our new client service associate.

We knew we’d found a good match when we asked Jared why he was interested in transitioning from the world of active investing (where he’d been a wealth strategist for another firm in Fayetteville, Arkansas) to our evidence-based environment. He’d been reading up on the subject in his free time, and realized it was time for a change – for his own career satisfaction, as well as to contribute more meaningfully to other people’s financial lives.

In addition to several years of financial planning, investment management and client service experience, Jared holds a bachelor’s degree in finance. He also shares our passion for establishing enduring, “long view” relationships with clients.

Jared reports to me (John Reagan). We spent a lot of time looking for just the right person to join the HIG family and continue building on our client experience. Even after the short while he has been with us, I’m already confident we’ve found that fit. I am thrilled to welcome Jared to Hill Investment Group.
